Diaoyutai State Guest House
The state guest house Diaoyutai (Chin. Diàoyútái Guóbīnguǎn钓鱼台 国宾馆) is a hotel complex with extensive gardens in Beijing .
The state guest house Diaoyutai was built in 1959 as one of the "Ten Great Buildings" ("十大 建筑") on the tenth anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China . The facility extends from north to south over a kilometer, from west to east over half a kilometer, has a total area of 420,000 square meters, of which 50,000 square meters are water surfaces (ponds) and 165,000 are construction areas.
The complex is used to accommodate state guests and other foreign visitors as well as other Chinese government guests in the capital. During the Cultural Revolution , u. a. Jiang Qing . The six-party talks have been held here since 2003 .
