The State Council of Colombia ( Spanish Consejo de Estado de Colombia ) is the highest administrative court and supreme supervisory authority in administrative matters in Colombia . It is comparable to the German Federal Administrative Court .

The Colombian State Council was set up in 1914 on the French model by shifting the State Council, which already existed in 1886, from executive to legislative partial power. It is part of the jurisdiction that has special responsibility for the laws relating to the administration and gives the executive legal advice. Over the years the State Council has overruled several government ordinances.

On October 30, 1817 , the State Council of Colombia was founded by a decree by Simón Bolívar , modeled on Napoleon's French Conseil d'État . However, over the years it has been abolished and reintroduced by several governments.

The Council has initial jurisdiction over certain maritime law and inland navigation matters ; Conflicts in jurisdiction between the Departamentos and the Municipios and between them and the national government , such as B.
