The Stachelbart-Verlag is a German children's book publisher based in Erlangen .

history

The publishing house was founded by Anne-Therés Schneider in 2010 and brings three to five new publications onto the market every year.

program

The declared goal is "books that children don't put away" because they tell of people who really exist or were and who have experienced real adventures, so captivating that children read on with the flashlight under the covers at night. The books take up topics that are rarely discussed with children: from the sense of boredom to incurable illness and disability. The most successful title to date is the book “Why Vampires Don't Like To Run” by Holm Schneider, whose heroes look “a little different” than most.
