Stacy Levy
Stacy Levy (* 1960 in Philadelphia ) is an American sculptor and Land Art artist.
life and work
Stacy Levy studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Forestry degree from Yale University . She then studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine . She graduated with a Masters in Sculpture from Temple University's Tyler School of Art .
In 2002, Stacy Levy and Julie Bargmann presented the Testing The Waters project, which began in 1995, at Documenta11 in Kassel. It is about the regeneration of a landscape area that is contaminated with acidic mine water from the former coal mine No. 6 in Vintondale, Pennsylvania.
