The Stade Achille Hammerel is a football stadium in Luxembourg . It is located on Rue Auguste-Lumière in the Verlorenkost district .
It is the home stadium of Racing FC Union Luxembourg and until 2005 was the home stadium of the predecessor club Union Luxembourg , which played its games in the European Cup there. It has a spectator capacity of 5,814 seats, 840 of which are seats.
On June 6, 1971, the first rock open air concert in Luxembourg took place in the stadium, in which Deep Purple performed, among others .
