The Stade Louis-Michel is a football stadium and is located in the French port city of Sète , Département Hérault in the Occitanie region . The facility was opened in 1991 and bears the name of the former club president Louis Michel (1952–1962). The club played in the Stade Georges-Bayrou since the 1920s before they moved to their new home. Originally, the sports facility only had a covered audience area with 1200 seats. With the promotion of FC Sète to Ligue 2 in 2005, the capacity was expanded by 4753 seats with tubular steel stands. Today there is space for 8,705 spectators in the stadium. After a season, the team was relegated and plans to build spectator stands behind the goals were put on hold.
