The Marienthal Stadium is a football stadium that is located in Hamburg within the Wandsbek district in the Marienthal district. From the opening in 1924 to the closing in 2009, the SC Concordia Hamburg played in the Marienthal .

history

In the 1950s, the then top division club SC Concordia Hamburg u. a. against Hamburger SV . In 1957, the traditional stadium was given a floodlight system in front of the Hamburger SV and Werder Bremen venues .

On June 30, 2009, the stadium, which opened in 1924, was closed after 85 years. In the course of 2014, the four floodlight masts were dismantled.

An initial reception facility for refugees was set up on the site from August 2015 to December 2016 and was dismantled in February 2017. Eight townhouses are then to be built on the site.
