The stadium on Bassenheimer Weg is the largest sports facility in the city of Andernach . According to official information, the stadium has a capacity of 15,220 spectators.

The stadium's name is derived from its location on a small road that leads out of the city towards Bassenheim . Up until the stadium, however, it was renamed Stadionstrasse and today the square is often only called “Andernach Stadium”.

In the stadium there is an athletics facility next to the grass pitch , but it no longer meets the standards. The cinder track consists of local red volcanic rock. In the nineties, a conversion to a tartan circular track was discussed, but not implemented.

The spectator stands are located on a wall planted with lawn, only the lowest steps have been removed. Approx. 100 seats are available on the wooden grandstand, which stood at the former stadium on Koblenzer Straße before the construction of the stadium and was transported to its new location. The stadium has no floodlights. In addition to the main square, the site also has two side squares.

The stadium is currently used by SG 99 Andernach and the rugby department of DJK Andernach.
