Stadtfeld (Wernigerode)
The Stadtfeld is a large housing estate and residential area of the city of Wernigerode in Saxony-Anhalt, built from 1980 to 1984 using prefabricated panels .

The district is located in the northeast of Wernigerode between Halberstädter Chaussee (L82) and the tracks of the Heudeber-Danstedt – Bad Harzburg / Vienenburg railway .
Infrastructure
With 4,000 residents, the residential area is the largest prefabricated housing estate in the city of Wernigerode and consists of type IW 64 with five storeys and WBS 70 with five and six storeys. It has a high school and a primary school, two day-care centers with a crèche, a supermarket, a senior center and two gyms with a sports forum. After 1990, the Stadtfeld industrial area and the "Harz Park" were built in the northeastern extension of the residential area. A block of flats on Grosse Dammstrasse that had only been completed as a shell was demolished after many years.

The district was the subject of Wernigerode's participation in the social space analysis project for coexistence on site in communities and cities of the University of Bielefeld and the Federal Building Ministry . In this context, a public survey was carried out in 2008 and 2009. As part of the Socially Integrative City program , a public survey was carried out again in 2011.
