The bell of the Protestant town church St. Marien zu Homberg (Efze) belongs to the Reformation Church of Hesse's town church St. Marien and consists of five bronze bells .

The bell was cast in Apolda in 1926 (bell foundry Franz Schilling Söhne ), weighs 1,790 kg and has a diameter of 1.47 m. It is a gift from the Protestant parishes of Hesse on the 400th anniversary of the Homberg Synod . In 1942 it was given for war purposes, but was found again in 1948 in the Hamburg bell cemetery.

After the Maundy Thursday service, the bells are silent until Easter Vigil. After the Easter Vigil service, all five bells ring.
