history

The then electoral official mill was built just one year after the completion of the new dig with two grinding aisles and a cutting mill. A Michel Zimmermann is named as the first miller. After it was sold to the Hollfeld family, it remained in the possession of this family until 1850. The mill burned down several times. For example in the years 1733 and 1838. From 1886 Ernst Klausenitzer was the owner of the mill. Ten years later, the mill had to be rebuilt again after a fire. With this rebuilding, the installation of a Francis turbine was connected due to the declining water power . After a short circuit, the mill building burned down again on September 26, 1929. After the reconstruction, Paul Politz bought the property and mill building from Halle . After the Second World War it was expropriated and the city of Annaburg took over the legal succession. From 1955, the buildings were used as an administrative building for the then LPG and for animal feed production. After the political change , the buildings were cleared and some of the furnishings were dismantled. The property, the mill and the associated house were then managed by the trust . She sold the property in 2002. In 2006, parts of the mill were destroyed by fire.
