City Theater (Sens)
The city theater (French Théâtre municipal de Sens ) in Sens , a city in the French department of Yonne in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region , was inaugurated on July 16, 1882. The building on Place Jean Jaurès has been classified as a Monument historique since 1975 .
The theater has two galleries and boxes near the stage. The ceiling was painted by the Geneva artist Diost. The room is richly decorated with plant and animal motifs made of stucco.
