Former city car at Schützenstrasse 6 in Kempten

The former Stadtwaage is a listed building in the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) . The building addressed at Schützenstraße 6 , which once served as a city scales , shows classicist elements and probably dates from the second quarter of the 19th century.

The corner house is three-storey and closes off from St.-Mang-Platz with plaster blocks at the corners and around the two arched portals . The basement is groin vaulted .

A cornice separates the upper floors from this: On the upper floors, the house edges are framed with corner pilasters . The three window axes continue the architecture of the basement and have round arches. The transition under the hipped roof is formed by a toothed cornice .
