The Stadtwerke Böhmetal GmbH is in 1998 from the merger of Stadtwerke Fallingbostel GmbH and Stadtwerke GmbH Walsrode emerged that can already refer to a decades-long tradition in energy and water supply. For the company's purpose, Stadtwerke Böhmetal, on the basis of a comprehensive agency agreement signed on February 23, 1989, performs all technical and commercial management tasks for the Fallingbostel District Water Supply Association (WVF) . In this context, the managing director of Stadtwerke Böhmetal GmbH is also appointed managing director of the association.

The areas of sewage, urban drainage, urban forests, road and property maintenance for the area of ​​the city of Walsrode have been taken over since January 1, 2018 by the establishment of the Kommunal Service Böhmetal gkAöR (non-profit municipal institution under public law). In this context, the managing director of Stadtwerke Böhmetal GmbH has also been appointed to the board of gkAöR.
