The Stadtwerke Gross-Gerau supply GmbH (CDR) is a municipal utility company. The company supplies private households, commercial consumption points and the vast majority of industrial companies in the southern Hessian city ​​of Groß-Gerau and its districts of Berkach, Dornheim and Wallerstädten with electricity. The power grid covers an area of ​​around 55 square kilometers. The company's shareholders are the city of Groß-Gerau (74.9 percent) and Überlandwerk Groß-Gerau GmbH (25.1 percent).

In 2011, electricity sales were 145 million kWh. In the same year, GGV achieved sales of around 16 million euros with eight employees. Around 20 percent of sales come from regenerative electricity generation from our own photovoltaic systems and a biogas plant in the city.
