In 1898 the construction of the local sewer system in the main street of Singen began. Singen's water supply began just five years later with the purchase of the Bitzenquelle in Ehingen . The Hohentwiel elevated tank was not built until 1962 . In the same year the city bus service was started. In 1966 the city of Singen founded its own municipal utility with water works and transport companies. The Buchberg elevated tank was built in 1981. In 1998 the Seehashalts industrial area was put into operation. In 2004 the Stadtwerke took over the municipal car park Heinrich-Weber Platz with 354 parking spaces. On July 1, 2006, a new city bus line started in partnership with the Südbadenbus . In 2007 the new underground car park Stadthalle with 201 parking spaces was completed. In 2011, the installation of photovoltaic systems on communal roofs began. The street lighting in Singen was not taken over until 2012. One year later (2013) the new "HBH Kliniken" car park with 348 parking spaces was completed.
