Stamatis Katsimis
Stamatis Katsimis ( Greek Σταμάτης Κατσίμης , * May 30, 1982 ) is a former Greek racing driver .
Career
Katsimis began his motorsport career in 2001 in formula racing and won the B class of the Italian Formula 3 championship . He also came third in the Greek Formula 3 . In 2002 he was seventh in the Greek Formula 3 championship and also competed in the Italian Formula Renault , in which he remained without points.
In 2008 Katsimis returned to international motorsport and initially competed in the first four races of the Italian Formula 3 championship. At the end of the season, with a fifth place as the best result, he finished 14th overall. He also made his Superleague Formula debut for the Olympiacos Piraeus team, which is managed by GU-Racing International . He replaced Kasper Andersen for the last two race weekends of the season . His best result was a ninth place.
