The Stamford Cone is a 14-meter-high steel sign, covered with stained glass, in the form of a cone, which serves as a distinguishing mark for the headquarters of the Swiss UBS in North America.

Location

The building complex is located in the city of Stamford (Connecticut) northeast of New York City and is to be used by the bank until it has found suitable office space in Manhattan that enables it to move to nearby Wall Street . The building complex contains the world's largest dealer hall , which is used by the UBS investment bankers , at 9,600 m² .

Designed by architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and built by Dewhurst MacFarlane & Partners, the cone is completely covered by colored stained glass by English artist Brian Clarke . The manufacturing cost in 1999 was more than $ 1 million.
