Headquarters Gethmann
The Gethmann parent company is a half-timbered house on Hauptstrasse 12 in the Blankenstein district of Hattingen . It is a two-story slate half-timbered building. The Gethmann family , who made a name for themselves as a family of cloth makers and later entrepreneurs, lived here since 1730 .
From 1879 it was leased and used as the "Hotel Petring". From 1930 it was called the “Zum Maze” inn; the path to Gethmann's garden was moved here. The catering operation lasted until 2003. Since then it has been used as a residential and commercial building.
