Stammhaus church

The Stammhauskirche is a Protestant church in the Kaiserswerth district of Düsseldorf . It is part of the Kaiserswerther Diakonie .

The main house church was built in 1843 in the neo-Romanesque style. Its name comes from the parent company of the factory owner Peterson, which Theodor Fliedner bought in 1836 in order to set up the Kaiserswerther Diakonie. The tower and bells were not added until 1854. The bells were donated by the Prussian royal family. In 1927 the church had to be completely renovated. The restoration could not be completed until 1950, in the meantime war damage had been added.
