Stan Anderson and the Blue Rhythm Boys were an American country band that were best known in the American Midwest between 1950 and 1960. They brought country music to Nebraska and other states through their various radio shows on Channel 6 and Channel 13 and their television show on KHOL-TV .
Career
The group has participated in numerous radio shows including the Hayloft Frolic Show and the Midwest Jamboree . Stan Anderson (* 1935) was the front man of the band. He was known for his guitar playing and voice, which was very similar to that of Hank Snows . Almost all members of the band sooner or later founded their own bands. The Blue Rhythm Boys also recorded some records, such as I'd Like To Be .
In 2001 Stan Anderson and his Blue Rhythm Boys were inducted into the Nebraska Country Music Foundation Hall of Fame .
