history

Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH, Duisburg (formerly Standardkessel GmbH)

Standardkessel was founded in 1925 by engineer August Fasel in Duisburg. Initially, only small boiler systems were produced in Duisburg-Wanheimerort . In the 1930s, Standardkessel manufactured and delivered shell boilers. It is mainly focused on the manufacture and sale of high pressure and low pressure steam boilers and steel boilers. In 1936 August Fasel handed over the management to his sons, whereby the name Standard-Kessel-Gesellschaft, Gebrüder Fasel arose.

In 1945 Standardkessel stopped building steel boilers and concentrated exclusively on the planning and construction of complete boiler systems for industry and district heating. In 1951 the company built the Condor shell boiler , the first fully automatic, oil-fired boiler. In 1953 the delivery program was expanded to include water-tube boiler systems.

In 1980 the company headquarters was relocated to Meiderich . In 1982 the company was able to put the first fluidized bed fired plant into operation. 50% of Standardkessel was taken over by Lentjes in 1985 and 100% in 1997 . Due to the crisis in German energy plant construction in 1999, production at the Duisburg location was closed.

In 2001, Standardkessel concentrated its delivery and service program on water tube boilers and complete systems . In 2004 the companies LLS Standardkessel Service, Standardkessel-Fasel Utrecht, Standardkessel and Baumgarte were taken over by the Dutch financial investor Investments BV.

On May 21, 2007, Standardkessel Baumgarte Management acquired the group of companies with the support of a private Belgian partner. In 2008 emc Germany GmbH was taken over and Standardkessel Baumgarte Service GmbH was founded. In 2010 the Environment & Power Company Ltd. was founded. in Saudi Arabia.

Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH, Bielefeld (formerly Baumgarte Boiler Systems GmbH)

In February 1935 August Baumgarte founded the company Eisenwerk Baumgarte GmbH, Brackwede. The following years are characterized by the systematic structure of the design, manufacture and assembly of apparatus and steam boilers such as B. Flame tube boilers, Emma coke boilers, shell boilers, water tube boilers and mechanical grate feeders for coal firing. In 1950, Baumgarte was one of the first in the industry to introduce electric welding of all boiler pressure parts. With modern testing equipment and methods such as B. X-rays, strength tests and chemical laboratory analyzes, Baumgarte is considered a quality leader.

In 1962 Baumgarte realized his first waste boiler for the waste incineration plant in Frankfurt am Main. In the following years Baumgarte developed into the leading manufacturer and supplier of waste incineration boilers in Germany and Switzerland. This competence was continuously expanded in the following years. At the end of the 1960s, Baumgarte earned a reputation as a pioneer in the construction of tail-end boilers.

In 1979 Ferdinand Lentjes GmbH acquired a majority stake in the boiler construction department. Due to the 100% takeover of Lentjes AG by Metallgesellschaft / Frankfurt am Main in 1990, Baumgarte's main activities increasingly shifted to the construction of boilers for waste incineration plants. With the closure of boiler manufacturing in Bielefeld in 1997, Baumgarte concentrated on engineering services.

The company was taken over in 2004 by the Dutch financial investor HTP Investments BV, together with Standardkessel GmbH.

The Standardkessel-Baumgarte Group has been part of the Japanese JFE Engineering Corporation since December 2014. As the engineering division of the JFE Group, the JFE Engineering Corporation is one of the market leaders for grate firing and waste gasification systems and, with more than 350 installed firing systems, focuses on the Japanese market.

In the early years, the scope of supply consisted of boilers and apparatus, but Standardkessel Baumgarte now also supply turnkey power plants as general contractors (EPC) in addition to complete system solutions (boilers, firing systems, flue gas cleaning , steam circuit and turbines).
