Stan village is a living space within the boundaries of the Creglinger district Niederrimbach in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

history

The place was first mentioned as a location in 1292. Until the end of the 14th century, the place was fiefdom of the Lords of Hohenlohe from the Fulda monastery. In 1396, Standorf came with Neubronn and Oberndorf (administrative area Weikersheim) through marriage to Konrad von Weinsberg and from him to Brandenburg-Ansbach in the middle of the 15th century. In 1791 the place came to Prussia, before it came to Bavaria from 1806 to 1810, then to the Württemberg Oberamt Mergentheim .

The place came as part of the formerly independent municipality Niederrimbach on February 1, 1972 to the city of Creglingen.

Cultural monuments

On the outskirts is the well-known Ulrichskapelle , a pilgrimage chapel whose date of origin was on the 12th / 13th centuries. Century is estimated. It is a late Romanesque octagon building with a choir between originally two east towers. There are still remains of a wall surrounding the church and the adjacent cemetery.
