Niederrimbach was created in a valley widening of the Rindbach at the influence of a small side valley. The village of Niederrimbach ( ⊙ ) and the hamlet of Standorf ( ⊙ ) belong to the district of the former municipality of Niederrimbach . In Niederrimbach there are three springs belonging to the Hohenloher water supply group , whose supply area extends from the Jagst to the Tauber .
history
middle Ages
The place was first mentioned in a document as Rimbach in 1045 . In 1338 there was another documentary mention as Niedernrentpach . In the 11th century, Duke Heinrich VII of Bavaria Im sold his property in Niederrimbach together with Creglingen to the diocese of Bamberg. Individual goods belonging to the Lords of Röttingen came to the Hirsau Monastery in 1103 and from there in 1125 also to the Bamberg diocese. In the 13th century the place was owned by the Lords of Hohenlohe and in 1277 Gottfried von Brauneck assigned it as a fiefdom. Hans von Vestenberg was enfeoffed with half the village by Hohenlohe in 1357. In addition, there was property of the Lords of Finsterlohr and the von Rhein. The latter was given to the burgrave of Nuremberg in 1338. Since then the rule between Hohenlohe and Brandenburg was divided. The Lords of Reinsbronn, the Mertin of Mergentheim, the von Enheim and Truchsessen von Baldersheim appeared as Hohenlohian fiefdoms. The von Baldersheim also acquired the bailiwick and the court from the von Enheim in 1421.
Modern times
Since 1602 the place was under joint direct rule by Hohenlohe and Brandenburg-Ansbach . The mayor was Hohenlohe, the church and cemetery were again Brandenburg. Niederrimbach was part of the ten Hart. In 1797 Niederrimbach came completely to Ansbach by country comparison. The place fell to Bavaria in 1806 and again to Württemberg in 1810 and since then has belonged to the Mergentheim Oberamt and since 1938 to the Mergentheim district , which became part of the newly formed Main-Tauber district on January 1, 1973.
On February 1, 1972 Niederrimbach was incorporated into the city of Creglingen.
