The Stange Ice Shelf is an ice shelf off the English coast in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It is bounded to the east by Spaatz Island , to the northwest by Smyley Island and to the west by the ice masses of Carroll Inlet .
The UK Antarctic Place Names Committee named it in 1985 in connection with the naming of Stange Sound after Henry Stange, a supporter of the US Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948).
