The Spaatz Island is a glaciated and uninhabited island with a land area of 4100 square kilometers off the English coast of the West Antarctic Ellsworthlands . It is located about 50 km southwest of the south coast of Alexander I Island .

The American polar explorer Finn Ronne discovered them during an overflight during his Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948). He named it after Carl A. Spaatz (1891–1974), Chief of Staff of the United States Army Air Forces , who helped provide aircraft for the research trip.
