Stanislav Wassiljewitsch Tarassenko ( Russian Станислав Васильевич Тарасенко , English transcription Stanislav Vasilyevich Tarasenko ; born July 27, 1966 ) is a former Russian long jumper .
Tarassenko celebrated his greatest sporting success at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1993 when he won the silver medal in his specialty. With 8.16 m Tarassenko only had to admit defeat to the world record holder Mike Powell (8.59 m) from the USA and was able to distance the third placed Ukrainian Vitaly Kyrylenko by one centimeter.
In 1992 he became national champion outdoors, in 1993 outdoors and indoors.
Stanislaw Tarassenko is 1.90 m tall and weighed 82 kg at competition times.
