Stanislovas Buškevičius

Stanislovas Buškevičius (born September 14, 1958 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian politician, deputy mayor of Kaunas, leader of the Jaunoji Lietuva party and a former member of the Seimas .

Life

In 1977 he completed his studies at the Politechnikum Kaunas and in 1985 economics at the Vilniaus universitetas . From 1979 to 1987 he was a worker, engineer and sociologist in companies in Kaunas, from 1988 to 1990 he taught political economy of the West at the Kauno medicinos institutas . In 1990 he organized the dismantling of communist monuments for Vincas Mickevičius-Kapsukas , Felix Dzerzhinsky and "Four Communists" in Kaunas.

From 1996 to 2000 and from 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Seimas , selected in electoral district No. 15 in Kalniečiai as a representative of "Jaunoji Lietuva". From 1995 to 1997, from 2007 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2014 he was a member of the council and deputy mayor of the municipality of Kaunas .

He is married and with his wife Jūratė he has the son Stasys Buškevičius (* 1980), member of the Kaunas city council, and the daughters Milda and Agnė.
