Kalniečiai
Kalniečiai is a district of Kaunas , Lithuania . It is located in the northeast, north of Dainava . The Mikrajon was built in Soviet Lithuania from 1975 to 1985 . The architects A. Steponavičius, G. Miškinienė and A. Krasilnikova prepared the project. It was awarded a prize.
The territory is 78.39 hectares, of which 14.86 hectares are in the park area. In Kalniečiai there are the Kaunas Clinics , the “Rasos” High School, the Antanas Smetona High School, the Polyclinic and the Kalniečiai Park with a reservoir. Kalniečiai belongs to the Eiguliai District of Kaunas Municipality . There are 12,000 inhabitants (2005).
