Dainava is a district of Kaunas , the second largest city in Lithuania , on the left bank of the Nemunas and the seat of the Dainava district . The place was named after the Lithuanian historical country Dainava . In 1963 the construction of the Rajon began in what was then Soviet Lithuania . The architects were Neringa Dičiuvienė, Reda Dringelienė, Alvydas Pranas Steponavičius, Raimonda Augustienė and Gražina Miškinienė. There has been a library since 1967 .

Organizations, infrastructure

In 1973 Draugystė Park and Dainava Park were established here .
