The Stark Rock (from English strong , 'bare, bare, dreary, monotonous' ) is a striking 7 m high cliff in the Wilhelm Archipelago off the west coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 3 km south of the Cruls Islands .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave it its descriptive name in 1959.
