Stasys Kropas
Stasys Kropas (born February 6, 1953 in Tumagalis , Panevėžys Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian economist and politician.
Life
After graduating from the 2nd Panevėžys Middle School , he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Vilniaus universitetas (VU) in 1977 and then did his doctorate on the subject of “Financial Balance of the Republic of Lithuania”. From 1990 he was a member of Seimas , 1992 Minister without portfolio . 1995–2001 he was a member of the board of directors of Lietuvos bankas . Since 1996 he has been teaching at the Institute for International Relations and Political Science at VU. He has been a professor at VU TVM since 2010 .
Since 2008 he has been President of the Lithuanian Bankers Association.
He speaks Russian and English.
