StatPascal is a statistical programming language that is based on Pascal . In contrast to other statistical programming languages such as S , StatPascal is strictly typed . This and the fact that StatPascal is compiled ensure a very high execution speed of the scripts , which are nevertheless executed by a virtual machine .
In contrast to standard Pascal, StatPascal supports data types such as vectors and matrices , which support the statistical analysis of large data sets .
StatPascal is implemented in the Xtremes statistics software, among other things .
