The statuette of a woman in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens ( NAMA ) with the inventory number 3443 is an archaic statuette of a young woman dating back to the late 7th century BC. Is dated.

From the statuette only remains of the torso, from about the hips down to about the knees, are preserved. The woman's peplos and her arms, especially her hands, hanging stiffly on the sides of her body can still be seen .

With two other such statuettes, this work formed the base of a perirrhanterion , a holy water basin. The statuette of a woman (NAMA 4) also belonged to this perirrhanterion as one of the other two statuettes. All pieces were found in 1886 in the sanctuary of Apollo on Mount Ptoion in Boeotia . The torso of the statuette made of Pentelic marble is 17 centimeters high. It is a Boeotic work that is influenced by models from the Middle East , probably Syria or Cyprus .
