The left free leg is loosely crossed in front of the right standing leg. The right arm is bent, the hand rests on the upper body. The head is directed slightly to the left and downwards. The boy wears a ribbon in his short hair that shows a very flat, engraved -looking relief . The work is considered to be an outstanding work of depicting children from ancient times. The body looks limp, the stomach bloated. Especially characteristic is the boy's smile, for which all the muscles of the face appear tense.
