history

In 1787 the schoolhouse was built in the Gebirg district. The first mentions of a school in the former school and town hall can be found around 1792. This school building was expanded in 1823. The former "Zum Staufenberg" tavern was converted into a second school building in 1848. In 1899 the school building was rebuilt at its current location. Up to 1978 there were extensions in the form of physics , work, HTW room, school kitchen, teachers' room and multi-purpose room. In 1979 the school in Ebersweier became a branch of the GHS Durbach. This was renovated outside in 1995.

The planning for the expansion and renovation of the school is currently underway.

Profiling

Many projects, activities and working groups are offered under the profile of the school "Exercise-Nature-Health". In Ebersweier, many pupils are looked after in the first and last lesson by the "Reliable Elementary School" model.
