The Staufferhaus is a Swiss museum and is one of the cultural institutions of the Canton of Aargau . It is located at Hauptstrasse 1 in Unterentfelden .

history

The Staufferhaus was built in the 18th century and at times served as a wine shop . In 1981/82 the building was restored and rebuilt. Since then it has served as a museum for the community of Unterentfelden. The "Alt Unterentfelden" collection contained therein shows historical objects such as household appliances, agricultural implements, handicraft tools, measures and weights, old lanterns, uniforms, weapons and documents. The rooms are also used for lectures, exhibitions and smaller events.

The building is built in the style of the old Bernese country baroque and has a rounded gable .
