Ste-Thumette (Plomeur)
Ste-Thumette is a Roman Catholic church in Plomeur in the Finistère department in Brittany .
history
The church consecrated to the Breton Saint Thumette (Breton: Tunvezh ), according to legend one of the companions of Saint Ursula of Cologne , was built on the site of a previous church that had fallen into ruins in 1760. Parts of the previous building were incorporated into the new baroque church .
The new church is a three-aisled basilica on a cross-shaped floor plan. A polygonal choir with two side chapels adjoins the transept. The calvary in front of the church portal was built in 1861.
