Sainte-Thumette church

This relatively powerful church building was only built on the eve of the French Revolution in 1760 on the ruins of an earlier church according to the plans of the architect Augustin Regnault from Brest. On some square columns and arches you can still read parts of the previous building dating from 1673.

Sainte Thumette

Saint Thumette, also Tumette or Tunvez, was a sister of Saint Enéour and one of those eleven thousand virgins who accompanied the Breton St. Ursula on her way to and from Rome. Like St. Ursula, she is said to have been martyred in Cologne in 383. Chapels have also been named after her in nearby Kérity and Landunvez

Chapelle de Beuzec

Beuzec was a municipality until the revolution. Here was the location of their church dedicated to Saint Budoc. Only the choir remains of the church building from the 12th century, whose large windows with four lancets from the 14th century are still remarkable. The nave was demolished in the nineteenth century. The interior of the chapel has been looked after since 1993. The Kalvarienberg and a restored historic fountain are in the immediate vicinity.

Notre-Dame-de-Tréminou
