Elliant ( Breton Eliant ) is a French commune with 3271 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in western Brittany in the Finistère department .

geography

Quimper is 16 kilometers to the west, Lorient 42 kilometers to the southeast, Brest 60 kilometers to the northwest and Paris about 460 kilometers to the east. The river Jet crosses the municipality and flows around the main town just to the west.

The approximately 3.5 m high menhir Hiquem Mam Coz stands on a small hill in a forest north of the Cosquer Ven farm.

At Rosporden and Quimper there are departures on the expressway E 60 ( Nantes -Brest) and regional train stations on the Nantes-Lorient-Quimper-Brest railway line.
