Confort-Meilars ( Breton Koñforzh-Meilar ) is a French commune with 879 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Finistère department .
Until February 2001 the parish was called Meilars.
location
The place is located in the southwest of Brittany on the Atlantic coast on the Cap Sizun peninsula .
Quimper is 24 kilometers southeast, Brest 38 kilometers north and Paris about 510 kilometers east (as the crow flies ). The Goyen River forms the southern boundary of the municipality.

At Quimper and Châteaulin , the next exits are on the expressway E 60 (Brest- Nantes ) and regional train stations are on the mostly parallel railway line.
The Brest train station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris and the airports Aéroport de Brest Bretagne near Brest and Aéroport de Lorient Bretagne Sud near Lorient are the nearest regional airports .
