Briec , also Briec-de-l'Odet , ( Breton Brieg ) is a French commune with 5630 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in Cornouaille in western Brittany on the Odet River . Quimper is 14 kilometers (km) southwest, Brest 46 kilometers northwest and Paris about 470 kilometers east.
