Plogastel-Saint-Germain ( Breton Plogastell-Sant-Jermen ) is a French commune with 1953 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Finistère department in the canton of Plonéour-Lanvern .

The place is located in the southwest of Brittany near the Atlantic coast . Quimper is 12 kilometers east, Brest 46 kilometers north and Paris about 500 kilometers east (as the crow flies ).
