Scaër ( Breton Skaer ) is a French municipality with 5380 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Finistère in the region of Brittany . Quimper , the capital of Cornouaille, is 30 kilometers to the west, Brest 70 kilometers to the northwest and Paris about 460 kilometers to the east. At Quimperlé and Pont-Aven , the next departures are on European route 60 ( Nantes -Brest) and there are regional train stations in Quimperlé, Bannalec and Rosporden . In Lorient , Brest and Rennes are regional airports .
