Guengat ( Breton Gwengad ) is a commune in western France in the Finistère department in the Brittany region , about six kilometers from Locronan . It has 1782 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and an area of 22.72 km².

Attractions
The Breton name Gwengad means "white hare" in German. In the village there is the small, 15th century church Saint-Fiacre and in front of it a small calvary . In the church there are carvings as statues and on the ceiling beams. See also: List of Monuments historiques in Guengat
