history
The canton of Quimper was established in 1793. In 1973 this was divided into the cantons Quimper-1 and Quimper-2. The division of parts of the city of Quimper into the cantons Quimper-1, Quimper-2 and Quimper-3 existed from 1985 to 2015. With the reorganization of the cantons in 2015, the canton of Quimper-3 disappeared again and its area became the cantons of Quimper- 1 and Quimper-2 struck.
