The Canton Quimper-2 (Breton Canton Kemper-2 ) is a French constituency in the district Quimper , in the Finistere region and in the region of Brittany . It consists of part of the city of Quimper .
history
The canton of Quimper was established in 1793. In 1973 this was divided into the cantons Quimper-1 and Quimper-2. The division of parts of the city of Quimper into the cantons Quimper-1, Quimper-2 and Quimper-3 existed from 1985 to 2015. With the reorganization of the cantons in 2015, the canton of Quimper-3 disappeared again and its area became the cantons of Quimper- 1 and Quimper-2 struck.
Before 2015, the canton of Quimper-2 comprised parts of the city of Quimper and the municipality of Ergué-Gabéric .
