The Canton Plabennec (Breton Canton Plabenneg ) is a French constituency in the district Brest , in the Finistere region and in the region of Brittany .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, nine municipalities belonged to the canton of Plabennec. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of communes rose to 13. Of the previous 9 communes, 4 moved to other cantons. In addition to the remaining 5 communes of the old canton of Plabennec, 5 of the 10 communes of the previous canton of Ploudalmézeau and 3 of the 5 communes of the previous canton of Lannilis were added.
