The canton of Fouesnant (Breton canton of Fouenant ) is a French constituency in the Arrondissement of Quimper , in the department of Finistère and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Fouesnant .

history

The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, seven municipalities belonged to the canton of Fouesnant. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of municipalities rose to 8 in 2015. The previous municipalities in the old canton of Fouesnant were joined by 1 municipality in the canton of Quimper-2 .
