The canton Quimperlé (Breton canton Kemperle ) is a French canton in the arrondissement Quimper , in the department of Finistère and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Quimperlé .

history

The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, five municipalities belonged to the canton of Quimperlé. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of communes rose to 11. In addition to the previous communes of the old canton Quimperlé, all 4 communes of the previous canton of Arzano and 2 of the 3 communes of the previous canton of Scaër were added.
